Version 1.0.289 [Download]

Sorry to not post about previous version, but anyway I guess very very few people (nobody!?) are using Studio Post-Effect yet so, I guess it's fine.

The version 1.0.289 fixes several non-visible bugs in the workflow editor and when the effects are reloaded after shader code has been modified and saved. This should lead to much less application crash when you modify a shader.

For the new features, the float4 parameters are now considered as colors and so the parameter panel displays an HDR color picker control to allow you to select a color.
Also, it is now possible to select several effect at once on the workflow editor by using the Control key of the keyboard, such as Windows default file multi-selection system. So this way you can select and move several effect items at once for a better re-organisation of the working space.
The project file format changed and is now in version 0.2, the project files in version 0.1 can still be loaded by the application (note that versions bellow 1.0.289 will fail loading version 0.2 project files).

There is a new pixel shader named "Comparer", it is very simple effect that allow to plug two sources, and it splits the render screen to display the two sources side-by-side. The purpose is to be able to compare two effects, or simply to compare effect with-without. The way to split the render is parametrable through the "Mode" parameter. This small shader is useful to compare effect that produce a very small difference, such as Bleach Bypass or some tone mappings.

Version 1.0.297 [Download]

This version fixes two main bugs that appearead on the effect workflow editor and parameter panel. When a pixel shader was saved, it happened sometimes the effect items were just disappearing, it is now solved. Also when the parameters in a pixel shader were modified (type changed, renamed, etc...), the parameters panel was not properly refreshed and sometimes clicking back again on a parameter would make the application to crash (bad refresh and so referencing inexistant object), it is solved too.

These are few modifications but I think very important, especially for programmers who modify the code a lot, save and check at runtime, then modify again... It's frustrating to have application crashing often in this process, and moreover programmers may be afraid to lose there job during a crash.

[Edit]
This version also includes a new sample project with new a pixel shader : "PhotoShop Filters".
In fact the name is not correct, it's not PhotoShop's filters but layers processing. The pixel shader includes the
most useful layer blend modes, thought it's not finished yet. Some effects do not exactly match PhotoShop's render yet and moreover the Vivid Light effect is broken, still working on this issue.

Thanks a lot.

Version 1.0.300 [Download]

This version fixes an annoying bug in the parameters controller (UI parameter settings panel).
Studio Post-Effect should now be stable enough to not get revisions every weeks, unless bugs are reported by the users.

Notice: For space reason, the version 1.0.129 and 1.0.138 have been removed from the download section of the web site (old and not functional enough versions).
